wife MARIA JOUIN=SCHWING:
LOT OLDER THAN HUSBAND.
Just as the village names in this area have both a German and French spelling (vis.
Vinstinger=Fenetrange) so, too, the surnames: Vautrin appears in some of the area records
as Wodring; Brodt as Du Pain, Dupin and Pain; JOIN AS LONGJOIN, JOING AND
SCHWING. These names provided just a few examples. Others appear in the individual
family entries in the main text.
I DESCEND THROUGH THEIR DAUGHTER, ANNA MARIA, DOB 1724, MARRIED
JOHANN GEORG OHLINGER AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, RICHMOND TWP, 24 AUG 1748.
