Warren, don't know if you caught the date error or not, but Agnus Hastings had to be daughter of John Hastings Unknown first wife.It is my personal belief that the order of birth of John's children listed in the 250 Year book is not right.I've had all my data (I have an excell sortable document some 43 plus pages long of data on these early Hastings/Brintles and collateral families)checked by some highly regarded professional (VA) researchers here in DC area and all concur that if the author of that book had followed through on the research of all of John's children his conclusions about birth order, etc. would have changed dramatically. For example, the American Rev. War Pension of Zachariah Hastings says his mother told him he was born in 1751.Further down in the file some of his statements vary abit so that he possibly could have been born in 1746.Whichever, his dob alone changes the birth order of the children from that that is described in the 250 Year book.An important word, I'm told, is the usage and placement of the Imprimtis (meaning of the first or in some ases in the first place). That word is used in front of Agnus Brintle's name.If you'd like a copy of the excell source document, please email me.It is not very pretty, but helps me keep some of these people in perspective. It includes land records, tax records, wills, etc.
