Christine,
Do yo have anymore info on Lemuel. I have a Patience Purser born in 1761 in Craven Co., NC to a James Brinson and they married in Craven Co, NC. They had a daughter Polly Mary Ann Brinson who married a Koonce who was born in Jones Co., NC and they married in Wilson Co. Tennessee. Hope this helps in some way. If this is your line I have some info back to 1610.
