Bill,
Rev. James Brinson, Jr. had a son, Jesse Brinson who married
Susanna Moss 29 Jan. 1812 in Wilson Co., Tenn. They had two children, Thomas M. and Nancy Brinson. This Thomas became a Baptist minister, lived in Illinois a while, then settled in Northwest Ark where he founded several churches in the Territory of Arkansas. Thomas's son, James Brinson, great grandson of James Brinson, Jr. became a Baptist minister in Comanche County, Texas.
