Hi, glad to see there is now a Brinsmade Family Forum, which was badly needed. My husband descends from Fredrick Brinsmade and Josephine Sutphin of Washington, CT and New Haven, CT. We have major Gunn family connections as well, since the families intermarried quite a bit. I have information on the family going way, way back, but our line basically descends from William Bartlett Brinsmade and Charlotte Blake Chapin.

where I have lots of family photos of the Brinsmade's from the 1920's and earlier and the family resemblence is still very apparant in my husband and his mother.
