Have been searching many years for an ancestor of mine by the name of Elisabeth BRINKMAN who married Joseph ÉLIE dit
BRETON on May 11, 1806 at Saint Andre's Presbyterian Church in Williamstown, Ontario. His names shows up as Allie or Burton on this record. Their children were baptised at St. Joseph de Soulange, P.Q. and their names were: André who mar. Marguerite CHATEBOIS on Feb. 10, 1846 at St. Polycarpe, P.Q.; Jean Baptiste who mar. Ursule CHATEBOIS on Feb. 25, 1835 at St. Polycarpe; Joseph who mar. Mary Louise
BENOIT dit LAGUERRE on Nov. 26, 1832; Etienne; Francois Xavier & Louise. Elisabeth remar. Jean Baptiste SÉDILLOT dit MONTREUILLE on Aug. 11, 1827 at the Christ Church in Montréal, P.Q. On this record, her name was written "Betsy" and he was from Lake St. Francis. Joseph ÉLIE was b @ 1772 & d Apr. 2, 1826 at St. Polycarpe. He had remar. Louise AUNÉ. Christopher BRINKMAN, possibly a brother, mar. Katherine MCDONELL. Catherine Brinkman, possibly a sister, mar. William Barret. Would love to know the parents of Elisabeth BRINKMAN and Joseph ÉLIE.
