The Cheney Free Press, Cheney, Washington, March 31, 1911.

Charlotte Brinkman Bauer was born in Hessen Germany, Oct. 20, 1846. She cam to this country in infancy and was reared in Cook county, Illinois. She was married to William Bauer in Richmond, Illinois, Jan. 13, 1867, in Cooper Grove Church. Eleven children were born to this union, of whom five are living: Mary Rost, of Spokane, Henry Bauer of Lakefield, Minnesota, George Bauer, of Spangle, and Mrs. Antony Winters, Aberdeen, S. D., and William Bauer of Post Falls, Idaho.

The family lived near Lakefield, Minnesota, for about 14 years. Mrs. Bauer has lived in and around Cheney for 12 years. She has been connected with the Lutheran and Evangelical churches and has made her church home with the Congregationalists while in this community. After a lingering illness she passed to her reward from this home last Tuesday, aged 64 years, 5 months 7 days.

The funeral services were held at the residence at 1 p. m. Thursday, Rev. F. O. Wyatt officiating. Interment was at Fairview.
