Hello Evelyn, I saw your posting about James Brinkley. You said that A.L. Brinkley and a J.W. Brinley were born in Mississippi. I have traced my greatgreatgrandfather J.W. Brinkley, born in Mississippi. Just trying to figure the age from a census, I think he was born in 1837, but you know how these census records can throw you off. Just wondering if you may have anymore information that could prove that this is the same J.W.? Just looking at a few census records, looks like J.W. had following children: John, George James Mary Joseph Lee and Calvin. Looks like he had two wives, Mary Presnal, and then one named Martha, who he may have had more children with. Please email if you know if this is the same J.W.
