John H. Brinkley and his wife Sarah lived in Smith County, Tennessee in the 1840 census before moving to Franklin County, Tennessee. Along with them were two young daughters, Emeline and Nathie. I have reason to believe that John was born in North Carolina. I don't have a maiden name for Sarah. Can anyone help?
