I don't know if we have any ancestors in common--although I have begun to follow any hints of leads. My paternal Gmother's maiden name was BRINKLEY and her father's name was Henry Ellis BRINKLEY. Henry Ellis' parents'names are unknown, as everyone now is deceased who would know that info. I do remember my Gmother Eula Mae Brinkley WHITFORD telling me that she was from around Grifton, N.C. and her relatives were from around Scotland Neck and area. So--I don't know if there may be a link here, but I would certainly be interested in following up. My Gmother was almost full N.C. Indian (Cherokee,Lumbee) and I have been attempting to trace this lineage on the BRINKLEY or WIGGINS side. Any clues...please respond to me up here in Alaska! Thanks
