Looking for any information on James Brinkley born 1800 in GA. By 1860, he was in Rapides Parish, LA. He and a John Brinkley are in same county in Miss 1830, where Great grandfather A. L. Brinkley was born in 1834.
Trying to determine if James is father of A. L. and his twin brother J. W. A. L. died in Civil War in LA. In 1860 Census of Rapides Parish he and his brother were 26.
After the Civil War, wife, Elizabeth Ellis Brinkley (with four children), came to Texas with Priest family and settled in Bastrop and Caldwell Counties in Texas.
