Subject was my paternal grandfather. Viewed 1920 census in Nat'l Archives, states he was born in Maryland, married gmother, Martha Smith Hall of NC, in Oct 1906. Was married before and had at least 2 children (Irving was one). He and Martha had 9 children, my father, Hugh Whitmel [1915-1994] was their 5th child. Wade died in 1947 in Norfolk, VA. Any information on his parents, siblings, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
