Crosley was my GGGG Grandfather. I have him also known as Crasley Brinkley. I have a Francis Brinkley b. 1855 in Surry Co., NC. He was the son of Thomas Cellers Brinkley, which was Crosley's son. The stories(theories) I have been told was that Crosley was born out of wedlock and so was given his mothers name which was Brinkley. His mother was Baresheba Brinkley. I believe that they did get married later in life. And so, the story goes that Crosley then names his son after his father Thomas Cellers, but still have now last name for father. I know that Crosley had other kids, but I just have written down a son, Thomas Cellers, and a daughter, Baresheba, after his mother. I have some other info if interested.
