Hello: I am trying to find the connection between the BRINKLEY lines of North Carolina and my BARGER lines. William BRINKLEY, b. 1810, d. 1867, married a Carissa (unknown last name). She was born 1813, died 1889. They are both buried in the BARGER Family Cemetery in Catawba County, NC. What is interesting about this - why are just these two BRINKLEY folks buried there? How are they related to my BARGER lines? An interesting note about the BRINKLEY names -- the tombstones were placed there by their grandson - Dr. John Richard (Romulus) BRINKLEY, Jr. This Dr. Brinkley, Jr. was the son of Dr. John Richard BRINKLEY and Candice (Candace) BURNETT. This Dr. John Richard BRINKLEY changed his middle name from Romulus to Richard. He was born July 8, 1885 in Beta, Jackson County, NC. He married twice - first to Sally Wike in 1908. They had three daughters. They divorced in 1913. He then married Minnie Telitha JONES in 1913. They had one son - John Richard BRINKLEY,III. This Dr. Brinkley has a most interesting history - see the "Handbook of Texas Online" for his story: http://www.tsha.utexas.edu Question: How is the BRINKLEY line connected to my BARGER line? Thanks, Nancy This Dr. BRINKLEY Notify Administrator about this message?
