Please include my name on any Brinkley mailing list(s). I've been working on my family branch in SE-VA and NE-NC for twenty years. I have only gotten back to the mid-18th century due to the loss of the Nansemond County, VA records. I am still working on the NC counties for info (ie. Gates, Perquimans, Chowan, Bertie; etc.), but since the Brinkley family name is relatively small compared to many others, if we can get info back far enough on those who lived in the 17th and 18th centuries, we will probably find out that so many of us of this name are distantly related. I'd love to hear from others similarly engaged in searches of their family branches in VA-NC in the 19th, 18th and, yes, even the 17th centuries! Thanks.
