Melody, I read your reply to Katie Brinkley, and noticed that your grandfather was named Mac/Mack Brinkley. My father, James Luther Brinkley was son of Henry Brinkley whose father was David Mack Brinkley. They are from Saline and Gallatin County, Illinois. We can take our line back to Timothy and Hudson Brinkley (we think they were brothers) and can find Hudson in the Tennessee records and Timothy in the NC records (marriage, etc.).
I don't know that there is a connection between your Mack and mine, but thought I would let you know.
