My Great Grandfather was John Brinkley who lived in Boone, Watauga Co., NC. He would come to Gastonia, NC to visit his daughter Lockey Leola Brown. This was back in the 1920's to his death. I don't have a date for it. When he died he left everything he own to a neighbor by the last name of Fox who had taken care of him. This was ok because they had earned it. He never married, my grandmother was born out of wedlock. Hoping to find some of his family to exchange data with.
