Myra Brinkerhoff Robinson married Clifford George Cornwell and adopted two children,
Thomas Robinson Cornwell(that's me, born June 4, 1939) and Anne Brinkerhoff Cornwell
Bowden(born Feb. 23, 1941). Eloise and Leland
also had a son Leland Russell Robinson (called Russell as not to confuse him with his father).Russell married Mary Hitchcock. He died in 1942 (I don't remember the exact date).Leland Young Robinson, Myra's father died in 1958.Myra died Sept. 1974.Eloise died July 1975 (outliving both of her children and her husband).Anne died dec. 1999.Clifford died Oct. 1998.Anne is survived by three children (from oldest to youngest): Clifford Charles Rausch, Scott Rausch, Anne Rausch Wagner.Thomas married Marian Elaine Anderson on Oct 6, 1962 and have two children: Christopher Robinson Cornwell (born April 14, 1965) and Jeffrey Anderson Cornwell (born May 10, 1967).Marian and I reside in New Jersey and have a home in Cutchogue to which we are going to retire which is about 20 miles from the potato farm you referenced.By the way the potato farm was sold in about 1950 and all the buildings were torn down.Eloise and Leland had moved off the farm into Riverhead in 1906 after there had been a small fire at the farmhouse casued by a kerosene lantern.Eloise insisted that the family move to Riverhead because houses in Riverhead had electricity (no kerosene lanterns to casue fires). After they moved to Riverhead I'm not sure who occupied the farmhouse, but my earliest recollections of the farm are visiting Mary Hitchcock Robinson and her mother who lived in the house even after Russell died.Mary and Russell had no children and she died around 1962.
Hope you found this rather lengthy monolog somewhat interesting. We have a number of old photographs of Eloise's parents and grandparents and a Brinkerhoff family bible.
Tom Cornwell
