Hi Bradley: Feel free to email me at [email protected] I have information about Benjamin served in the Mexican War 1847-1848 and in the Civil War 1861-1865.He was a carpenter and farmer, and his physical description was black hair, blue yes, dark complexion.
He also served in the Civil War in the 50th Indiana Infantry division, Company D as a Private.
In excerpts from the Bedford Indiana, Lawrence County Star, June 19, 1875 -- Frank BRINEGAR, of this county, has not shaved since 1860, and says he won't until a Democratic President is elected---- (from email of Bob and Sara Brinegar 5/29/2004)
Benjamin Franklin Brinegar was the son of Benjamin Brinegar and Malinda Shanklin. Benjamin's parents were Adam Brinegar Jr. and Margaret Wiley and so on back to Veith Bruninger.Benjamin Franklin Brinegar married Frances Owen and I have one son Henry Harrison Brinegar who married Polly Ann Reynolds. All these folks from Lawrence County, Indiana and in my book. The One Brinegar history signifies that we're all connected, all related. Look forward to hearing from you. Jerry Brinegar
