George and Zilpha (Garrett) Spurlock brought their family to Knox County, Illinois ca 1835-39 from Indiana.. In Knox 22 May 1844, their daughter Judah born ca 1817 married William Brim. In ca 1844, George and Zilpha and most of their children moved to the new Iowa County of Wapello. William (Judah ?)is buried in Wapello County with several young Brims, presumably this children as follows : William Baxter Brim (1835-1863), Sgt., Company I, 1st Iowa Cav. (died in the war?) Louise Caroline (1840 ?- 1853) (these could not be Judah's children, Judah a second wife ?) Elbert Alexander (1845-1854) John Webster (1849-1873) Alice (1860-1886) The person who copied thezse burials thought the young ones were Spurlocks but they were not. William Basxter is on the Civil War rolls as a Brim. If this message is of interest, I may have a bit more. I research primarily the Spurlocks. - Ken Notify Administrator about this message?
