Thank you for the information. However, I may have asked for the wrong Thomas Brimm unless he married twice. Elmore W. Brimm was born 08 Jul 1885 and died of pneumonia 08 Nov 1922.

During the search for the Allen family in Carroll County, VA, Elmo joined the detective agency and worked for them briefly. He had gone west and worked in a wild west show for a time and wrote a couple of magazine articles before his early death. I don't think he ever married.

I wrote a book about the Allen family and the great courthouse gun battle and I used Brimm's diary as a primary source for part of it. Another one of the detectives, Edwin Chancellor Payne, released part of the diary as a book in 1912 called "The Hillsville Tragedy, Story of the Allen Clan"

I have a recording of an old man in 1953 where he talked about Elmo and said he was the son of Tom Brimm. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

thank you and best regards,
Ron Hall
