Tricia, I spent some time tonight poking around in genealogy.com. I found these items:

1) marriage record, Pleasant R Brimm to Sarah Christopher, Dec 19 1838, Williamson County.

by 1850 he was in Haywood County:

2) 1850 census, Haywood, page 42: P.R. Brimm, age 34, Sarah, age 31. note: No children were listed....

3) 1850 census, Haywood, page 35: John R Carter family, includes Sarah, age 15.

4) 1860 census, Haywood, page 482: P.R.Brimm, 43, Sarah, 26, Pleasant J, age 6/12

5) 1870 census, Haywood, page 480: P.R. Brimm, 54, Sarah, 36, James, 10, Mary, 9, Virginia, 7, Sarah, 6, William, 4, Ora, 1.

I think this is good evidence that There were 2 Sarahs, Sarah Christopher born around 1819. There were no children by this marriage. About 1859, he remarried Sarah Carter, born 1834 or 1835 or so, dau of John R Carter. NOte how the ages fit and are consistent. Also JOhn R Carter was born in Virginia. Also Sarah Carter was only 3 or 4 when PR married the 1st time to Sarah Christopher.

I looked a bit on the internet but could not find the marriage of PR BRimm to Sarah Carter, but it must have been around 1859.

I know I have more notes on this somewhere, when I find it I will forward to you.

later
