My gggrandfather Elmore Brim was born about 1838 in Roseville, Parke, IN and died on 25 Jun 1863 in Sherman's Landing, Shreevesport, LA, about age 23. Illnois 108th Infantry Co. A: 14 Aug 1862 Mustered 28 Aug 1862, Tremont, Ill Peoria, Ill. Have copy of Muster and Descriptive Roll stating Roseville was birthplaceand the following info:
Age 24 5 ft 9 in Blk hair Blue eyes Dark complection Married Farmer Residence Tremont, Tazwell Cty. Ill Corporal
