Don't know if this will help or not, but there was a Monroe Brim in Dyer County, TN in 1920. You can see it here:

He does not appear at this time to be close kin to my Brimms who were there at the same time. (unless his full name was Jessie Monroe Brimm, which I do not know.)
Also, Cannon County is close to Williamson County, which was home to John Brim (1776 - 1848) who left a lot of descendents. I think all of his male children wound up in MO, ARk, & Texas, but some grandchildren likely stayed in TN.
