Robert, I have a george w brim that showed up in the 1890-1900 census of webster county mo (west benton twship)who was born 1845 in s c but i haven't been able to locate him there.he is my gggrandfather.my gggrandmother was suppose to be indian, although i don't know what tribe.she was b 1861 according to the papers i have her name is mariah but in the 1910 census of said county(above)she showed her name as marie.i have no proof (except family stories)that she was indian.i wonder if your martha & my mariah/marie are the same.what do you think? let me know. lisa
