Thanks for posting the Brill lineage, Jeff.

Since this has no documentation, I wonder what is the source for the existence of Samuel Brill (b. 1839) and Thomas Brill (no date).

The birth year given for Samuel is the same as that for Lemuel. Could there be a misreading of the name?

Thomas Brill is not in the censuses with this family, and there is no record of him in Hebron Church baptisms.

There are two corrections to be made in this lineage.

It has LEMUEL’s wife Mary Catherine Arnold. The marriage record says EMANUEL married Mary Catherine Arnold.
LEMUEL’s gravestone and military record have a birth date of _14 May_ 1839.
EMANUEL'S birth date is recorded as _14 May_ 1838 in the Hebron Church baptismal register, but it was recorded when he was baptized on 13 November 1841, so it’s not a contemporary record. The day and month are identical; the year is off by one.
The gravestone and military record is for Lemuel _E._ (not “F” as it would be for “Franklin”).
The conclusion I draw from these is that Lemuel Brill and Emanuel Brill were the same person, Lemuel Emanuel Brill.

Henry Brill married twice. His second wife was Mary E. B. (Hall) Lockhart. The “third marriage” listed for Henry in this lineage was for another Henry. Henry Brill and Mary Lockhart were married in 1867 and were still living and together in 1880. The Henry Brill who married Catherine Mowrey did so in 1870 (and died in 1876), so he couldn’t have been the same Henry who married Mary Lockhart.
