In Reply to: Charles Sr. and Charles Jr. Brightwell of Prince Edward Co. 1800's by William Brightwell of 789

Reynold Brightwell (b.pre.1735-d.1803) was probably a son of the Reynold Brightwell who died in 1704 in King William County VA, but we can't prove this because the earliest King William Co records were destroyed.

Reynold Brightwell (1735-1803) had four sons: Charles & BARNETT by his 1st wife (name unknown) and William & Samuel by his 2nd wife Drucilla Almand (who he married in 1771 in Louisa Co VA). Reynold was in Prince Edward Co VA by the early 1770's.

Barnett Brightwell married 1782 Prince Edward Co VA to Mary Guill, daughter of Alexander Guill Sr.

Their son Charles Brightwell (1789-1847) married Hopy Boatright (your line)
