I found one Howard Bright on the SSDI who was born in 1911. Probably not the right man.

It is very possible he died young. Check with the county clerks office in Adair and see if they have a death record. Also, consider that Howard was a middle name and had a first name that he decided to go by. A lot of people do that. So check for all Brights who died in Adair co.
