From "History of the Brigham Family," page 440:

Abel, son of Joel and Elizabeth (Brown) Brigham; born in Sudbury, MA, 11 Jan 1814; died in Troy, Wisconsin, 14 Feb 1884; married Emeline Hibbard, born in North Hadley, MA, 23 aug 1824; died in Troy, 2 June 1902. A farmer and moved to Troy.

Children, the first 5 born in North Hadley:

1. Maria, b. and d. 1841
2. Truman E., b. 3 March 1842
3. Emma Salina, b. 14 april 1844;
d. 1885; m. James Hooper; res. Troy
4. Emerson Abel, b. Nov. 1847;
m. RoseMeecham of Troy; res. Darien, WI
5. Susan Emeline, b. 1849; m. Emory Atkins; res. Troy, WI
6. Clara Levina, m. Charles Finch; res. Lincoln, NE
