John H Briggs died on 3 April 1905 in Lucas County, Iowa.
His DEATH CERTIFICATE indicates his father is HENRY.
The certificate is completed by THEODORE BRIGGS, his son, whom John H Briggs resided with since the passing of wife Elizabeth Sexton Rumacher.

John H Briggs is indicated to be John Harris Briggs and at times John Horace Briggs.

Henry may be his father's name but it may be Horace and he went by Henry. I'm still digging...
