I am searching for information on my grandfather's mother and her family. I believe that she lived in Cedar County, MO. and was married to Oliver Newton Staton in the mid to late 1870's. Their first child was born in December 1878, Curtis Staton. Lena may have come from Indiana, as Oliver was born in Indiana in 1857. We aren't sure what year he left Indiana and settled in Cedar County MO. I would like to know who Lena's parents were and if she had brothers and sisters. Sadly, Lena died at a young age and left four children. Lena died between 1887 and 1890. She may have even died in childbirth, as her last child born was born in April 1887. If anyone has found her and her family, I would love to have you e-mail me. I have so little on this ancestor, and would like to know more. Thanks!
