I posted a query re Louise Briggs in Aug. '98
but have had no response.
Since then, I have learned that her children
went to MN. with their parents, William Carter West and Louise. John Briggs West became Pres. of West Publishing Co.; Horatio
was Treasurer and William C. was accountant.
William and Louise remained in MN. but John,
Horatio and, a sister, Louisa B. all moved to
CA., Pasadena area. John died in 1922 but was
buried in MN.(Oakland Cem.); Horatio died in
1936 at his daughter's in Seattle (he may have been sent back for burial to MA.??).John's wife, Lillian and Louisa remained in CA. and are buried at San Gabriel
Cemetery. Horatio's wife, Eliza, is buried at
Inglewood Cemetery.
Does any of this new info sound familiar to anyone?? and, if so, I am still looking for
anything on their Grandparents, John Briggs
and Ruth Jones from Essex, Salem or Boston.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
