Hi Ruth,

Just ran accross your posting from 2004 regarding William and Clarissa Wilson. First, William died in Newbury of pneumonia according to probate records. I have more details about their marriage, her death and where they are buried if you need it, just let me know. According to information submitted to the Geauga County Genealogical Society in Chardon, Ohio, William's parents were Thomas Briggs and Sarah (or Salla) Stebbins. I have not been able to confirm this independently. As for Clarissa she is the daughter of George (and probably) Lucy Wilson who she was living with 1n 1850, according to the census, along with an older sister Lucy A.(22), an older brother W.D. (William - 21), and younger sisters M.A. (Mary - 15), Fanny (14), L.J. (Louisa - 13), Emma (11), Sarah (9), and Celeste (7). By the 1960 Census George (without Lucy) has moved in with Clarissa and William along with daughters Mary, Emma, Louisa, and Celeste now listed as 25, 20, 18 and 17 respectively. George and Lucy are listed as from MA, the 2 oldest, Lucy A and William were born in NY and the rest in OH. Let me know if there is anything else I might help you with.
