Posted by: Robert Lincoln Date: February 01, 1999 at 17:50:13   of 5322 I am looking for information on the founders of Briggstown, Mass. My ancestor Desire Briggs married Sylvester Lincoln in Chesire, Mass on Feb 28, 1781. Chesire is about 10 miles from Briggstown. I am hoping that the Briggstown history can give me a lead on further information on Desire. Based on her application for a Revolutionary War widow's pension in 1842 she was born about 1760 but that is all I know about her prior to her marriage to Sylvester.
