More info on Henry Briggs taken from 1990 NY Census sheet for 42nd or 43rd Street:

Henry Briggs: b. April 1858 in Bath, Maine. His father and his mother were also both born in Bath, ME.

He had been married to Jessie McKusker for 4 years in 1900.

Jessie McKusker born November 1858, mother of 4 children still living, born in Pittsburgh; father born in Germany; mother born in New York.

Son George Briggs was born December 1888; his mother born in New York.

Daughter Mary Briggs born April 1890; her mother born in New York. Mary (May) married Walter S. Preble, b. 1884, Lynn, MA

Step-daughter Ethel (McKusker) born August 1892; father born in Bath, ME (meaning Henry? or mistake?); mother born in New York (again, mistake?) (Did the census taker write down same parentage for all three children?)

Relative Wm McCusker born Mar(?) 1868 in Mississippi; father born in England, mother born in England.
