Allen Briggs b ? died before the 1850 census of Otisco, Onondaga Co., NY was the son of Benoni Briggs and prob. Elizabeth Preston of NY. Benoni was born ca 1787 (MA? RI?)
and died in Otisco April 27, 1847. Their children were: Benjamin, Allen, Lewis, George, Rebecca, Caroline, Nancy, Emily Jane or Emily and Jane.
I am searching for the parents of Benoni. There was another Benoni Briggs residing in Rensselaer county, NY about the same time but was the son of Cary Briggs, R.W. soldier.
Any new information will be so appreciated.
