Hi JL---First of all thank you for posting so much wonderful information on the Briggs family. I have hit a brick wall with my Briggs Family. My gut feeling is though that one of the boys from this family is my ancestor, but haven't found the connection. I can only go back as far as to my gr-gr-grgrandfather, Benjamin Franklin Briggs born 1796 and his wife Adaline (?) born 1810. This I found from the 1860 Census for Belmont County, Ohio. Their children were: John b. 1842--Jacob b. 1844--Benjamin Franklin b.Sept.12, 1846-- Henry b. 1848--Mary b. 1850 --Emma b. 1851. Anyone out there that may have any info I would be very happy to know. Thank you.
