Terry,
I am of the Briggs in Michigan and think it is through Roy. My grandfather & Great grandfather were in Grand Rapids, John Bigelow Briggs & Renold Stephen Briggs. Our family is from and buried in Daighton, MI where there is also a family farm.
My father has the family book, I am the 12th generation of Briggs and our family name will end with my brother who currently has no children. (we are NOT happy about that!) I will look for the info on Roy and get back to you.
