I have record of one Pricilla Brigance born ca 1857, TN per 1860 Census. She had a brother, J. W. which I suspect is the Jim you refer to. J.W. was born ca 1842, TN per 1860 Robertson Co., TN Census. Thus, J. W.
would have been of the "prime" age for being in the Civil War. The parents of J.W. and
Pricilla and 5 other children were Issac N. and Elizabeth Brigance.
This family descends from the William Brigance (born ca 1750) line. This lineage has been published in Volume 2 of the Brigance Genealogy. For information on this publication, visit website www.brigance.net.
I familiar with Semi-Valley in CA. Is this the Semi-Valley you refer to?
