The census listed her as Maude, born about Dec 1870 in Texas. Her father was born in AR, mother in TX.
Trudie's children were born from 1894-1908 in TX: a son Claude Henry Powell, and daughters Allie Powell, Gladis Powell, Oka Powell, and Veta Powell. Claude Henry Powell married Maggie Gregory on 26-Dec-1917 in Ione, Logan Co., AR which along with Scott Co., AR are regions in which our Powells were settled. Claude's SS-5, was the source of a surname for Maude/Trudie, also his parents names.
I noticed this couple within Montague Co. & Clay Co., TX in the early 1900s census. They do not appear to be documented by Powell or Brigance descendents; however, they have lineage into Arkansas & Georgia which interested me.
