Brigances born in North Carolina

Hi all,

For those Brigances that were born in North Carolina in the later 1700's can anyone tell me what documentation you have?

I was following up on Al's information for North Carolina with regard to the "Calendars of Manuscript Collections" dated April 3, 1777 in Gilford County, North Carolina. I thought maybe that John and William Brigance, who are mentioned, were in the Revolutionary War and they were in Gilford County serving in the militia.

I just bought the "Military Records: Revolutionary War Muster Rolls" from Ancestry.com but there are no Brigance's listed or any variations of the name. Were they fighting in North Carolina or did they live there?

I borrowed the above book through interlibrary and it seems that there are 2 pages typed of this record but I'm trying to find the entire document through interlibrary if I can.

I thought maybe if I worked backwords through North Carolina some information might be found that would point north towards Pennsylvania and other states.

If anyone can shed some light on any North Carolina info it would be appreciated.

Teri
