Hi, Al. Don't know where our Briggans were before the 1753 Cumberland Co PA tax list. Elizabeth Allison's father, James, came from Cappagh, County Tyrone Ireland. I couldn't find anything like Briggans/Brigance there. James
m 1st Jane Watson 18 Mar 1741/2 in Phil. He married 2nd Elizabeth. Either could be the mother of Elizabeth Allison who married David Brigance 4 Feb 1761. Who's widow was Mary Dyer of the 1820 Sumner Co. Census? So many Dyers married in Sumner, yet no Dyers are on the tax lists. I'm right where I was 40 years ago -- I THINK Joel was Fanny Dyer's father but it could be Abraham. Best regards to Pat.
