Elias's brother that went to Robertson Co. was Alfred Lawrence (b. 1822, TN). His wife was & Elizabeth Hudspeth.
For several years I have had their seventh child listed as Susie (or Lin) born in 1865 or 66. If the information about you Susan Ellen being the daughter of Elias's brother that went to Robertson Co. is correct (which I suspect it is), this Susie (or Lin) has to be your Susan Ellen. Her
name probably got recorded by the Census takers as Susie and Lin and not Susan Ellen.
I have informaton on most of the other nine children Alfred Lawrence and Elizsabeth but had never found any other information on on Susie (Lin)/Susan Ellen.
Your information about Charles Newton is correct. He was the eldest son of David Brigance. This genealogy has been published in Vol. 1 (of 2 volumes) of the Brigance Genealogy (pages 1-34).
Copies of this genealogy can be found in the Texas State Archives and in some larger genealogy libraries in TX. If you would like more information on one or both of these volumes, please let me know.
