I am searching my ancestor Frances DeRusha from Uxbridge Ontario. He is in the 1851 census as born in 1805. Place of birth C.E.F. (Canada East) We beleive he came from the Montreal area. He married Mary Martha Faulkner about 1830. The family story is the Faulkner family arrived in Montreal and and that is where Frances joined up with them and moved to Ontario. We do not know if Frances and Mary Martha were married in Ontario or Quebec. The other family story is that Frances was part north american native.
Any help with this family would be appreciated.
