Wm Monroe Bridges b. Nov 7 1850 md. Susanna or Susan Ann Bibby; James Bridges b. ca. 1852 md. Frances Maryann Bibby.
The men were sons of Wm. Archebud Bridges and Frances Winn.
The ladies were daughters of James Bibby and Christinia Whisnant. They lived near the Rutherford/Cleveland County NC line. James Bibby was born abt. 1821. He was a farmer and teacher in the Duncan's Creek area of Rutherford County in 1860 and died June 12 1864 at Point Lookout, Maryland as a POW; he belonged to Co. K 16th Reg. NC troops, CSA. He may have been a grandson of British Loyalist Lt. John Bibby who was executed by hanging at Biggerstaff Old Fields in Rutherford County, NC October 1780. Does anyone have this in their genealogy files.
