Smith/Bridges/Bird (Byrd)
Daniel Bridges b abt 1840-50 unk location. married Elisabeth Smith b abt 1849 TN/GA/TN daughter to
Robert Smith b Oct 1824 GA/GA/GA and Nancy Smith b Sept 1822 TN/GA/SC
Daniel and Elisabeth may have been married abt 1865-1870, it's possible, they married in TN. There is no mention of him in any County census that I can find. The whole family is shown to be in Franklin County TN census, for these years- 1850, 1870 and 1880. I did not find anything for 1860. I feel that it's possible, Daniel was away during the 1870 census and must have died right before the 1880 Franklin County census which shows Elisabeth to be a widow, living with her parents and 3 children.
Elbert/Albert Sept. 1868 TN m. Frances Ella Walker Holton TX
Ella Nora(?) July 1875 TN m. Thomas Ed (Edd/Edward) Byrd Oct 1876 TN/AL/TN d.1903 in a hunting accident.
George abt 1876-78 TN married, couldn't find name and widowed by the 1910 TX census d. Freestone County TX.
All the kids were born in TN.
This problem is haunting me and I cannot go on until it's solved, one way or another. I've gotten help from a lot of people to get the Smith's information, which I'm entirely Thankful. Now I need help with the parents of Elbert, Ella and George. The 1900 Robertson County census for Texas shows; Robert, Nancy, Albert, Ella and husband Thomas Bird (Byrd)with son Fred all living in the same household. I can't figure out what happened to all the others and I cannot find or get a death certificate for Thomas Byrd. The two boys George and Albert/Elbert are married and one a widower in the 1910 census, but there's no mention anywhere of Elisabeth and her siblings..
Anyone got any ideas for me?
Thanks
