Hello, Bill
Are you aware of the Bridges DNA project at FTDNA? It includes men named Bridger, Bridgers, Bridges. Eighty Bridger men have provided DNA samples along with their ancestry (insofar as they know it). If you would participate in this project, your own DNA profile (or "fingerprint") would likely let you know which group of men are your DNA matches. As you may know, every male inherits a Y-DNA profile from his father, who inherited his from his father, and on and on and on. It is a great way to narrow down the ancestral choices. Such DNA tests typically cost $149 but are offered now at a promotional cost of $119. I am involved with several family DNA groups as a volunteer. Am glad to explain more if this interests you. My regular email is: willhendricks@comcast.net. I descend from Joseph Bridger 1628-1686 who moved from England to Isle of Wight Co VA.
