Info I have on Sampson Bridger, Twiggs CO, GA is as follows: I will post this and maybe get some help from sone of our cousins on this man. Sampson, b. 4 Oct 1787 NC, d. 17 Aug 1873, Twiggs Co, GA. (This info from cousin Monica)

1850 U.S. Census lists, p. 191, 84th Division TWiggs Co,GA: Sampson Bridger, 63, Sarah Bridger, 45, Penelope Fan (?), 39, Mary A., 9, Hugh Lloyd, 29. All born in NC except the 9 yr. old Mary A., b. in GA. (Hugh "Lloyd" really Hugh Floyd, most likely, & works for Sampson since there are two or three families of Floyds living next to Sampson. (This info from printed census info, NOT read by myself)

Same Census, living next door: James W. Bridger, 24, b. in GA., Lucinda (wife) 21, Sarah Ann, 1. (This is James Washington Bridger, b. 1826 married Lucinda Sauls).

1860 U. S., Twiggs Co, GA (hsehold # 556)Census lists, Sampson Bridges, 72, b. NC, Absala, 57, b. NC. Did Sarah die and Sampson marry Absala? I think this is true since:
In 1850 Census living close to Sampson is
widow: "Absalain McMillan" b. NC.

I would very much appreciate any help sorting out this family. Who were his children?

I'll be in touch on personal note seperately.

Cousin Barbara
