Recent family research indicates that data we had believed for years is incorrect. It would appear that Sarah, wife of Samuel Burr, was the daughter of Richard Bridgens of London England. Sarah was born in Droitwich, Worcester, England in 1793. She married Samuel Burr about 1830. Their son William Burr was born Dec 4, 1831 and baptised January 1832 in St. John the Evangelist Church in Lambeth, Surrey, England. Sometime after this the family emigrated to Canada. A daughter Sarah Ann was born in Ontario Canada in December 1833. After spending 40 years in Canada Samuel and Sarah, along with daughter Sarah Ann, her husband Robert Crozier, and their two daughters, moved to North Carolina, USA. If anyone can help with information on Richard Bridgens and his family we would appreciate the help. Thanks so much.
