I don't have a son ,George, listed amongst my 3rd grt grandfather, James' children; also his occupations are listed as mariner and labourer, so I don't believe this is your James.
Does the marriage certificate for George & Elizabeth give their ages? This would aproximate the year of George's birth.
I believe my James had an Uncle James (William's brother), although I could find no proof, this James would probably have had a son named James who could be your James.
